Our Purpose

Chrysalis God Gourds creates unique, handcrafted, artistic gourds that are calming and helpful in many ways...
helpful in letting go of difficulties....
helpful in keeping houseplants...
feeding birds and
adding decorative accents to your home
as well as providing unique and beautiful gifts to those you love.

"The pursuit of truth and beauty is a sphere of activity in which we are permitted to remain children all our lives."
Albert Einstein
"What the caterpillar calls the end of the world the Master calls a butterfly.".....Richard Bach

About Us

My photo
chrysalis
I am almost 70 years young and loving my life and all its possibilities! I have a wonderful husband who shares my love of making gourd art with me. We have 2 Bernese Mountain Dogs...a mama and her daughter. I am a retired art therapist and though I don't officially practice as an art therapist anymore I still LOVE to bring the magic of art making to others. I bring that magic to seniors in retirement homes and also to children who have cancer and other life threatening illnesses. These children I see under the auspices of HopeKids. www.hopekids.org The magic of art making brings my husband and me peace and joy. As Julia Cameron ("The Artist's Way") has written: "Creativity is God's gift to us. Using our creativity is our gift back to God."
